Productive Personality
This assignment invites you to think and behave like a personality psychologist. It consists of the following components: Psychodiagnosis of Productive Personality Indices, Productive Personality Matrix, and Summary and Recommendations
IV. Analysis of Productive Personality Indices
For this section, you should refer to Gilmore’s nine indices of productivity and review the guidelines for each dimension. Do not merely reiterate these points, but rather present your personal opinion by indicating your rating of the client on that dimension (i.e., rating ranges from 0.0 or unproductive to 4.0 or highly productive) and explaining its interpretation. Use the following heading for each of the nine indices to separate the parts of your case study. Here is another example of what I am looking for in this section of your analysis.
Affect Rating: 3.0 Superior Productivity
“The client earns a “superior” rating on affect because she conveys her emotions in a positive way not only in her sentence completion responses but also in her stories on the Thematic Apperception Test and Blacky Picture Test. It is obvious that she has a positive outlook on life as shown in Sentence Completion # where she says:” “ This is further supported in Responses # , , , (use quotes). A more complete picture of this is revealed in her response to Blacky Cartoon # where she depicts her home situation. She says in a very positive manner…..” “

In this final section, you will provide a summary of key points and highlight your recommendations for the client and, perhaps, for his/her family. You might begin this section by looking at your matrix above to see his/her overall rating and areas of weakness and strength. Review the background information section to identify the original reason for seeking your help and expertise and see if it matches to your overall assessment.
